" When I left university I was optimistic that my degree in Industrial Design would land me a job in the automotive industry in Melbourne.... I found myself struggling to get a foot in the door. Dejected but hopeful I left Australia to work in Europe where I was fortunate enough to work for a design studio manager who gave me time to learn Alias "What you know now does not matter, in three months time it does matter!"But not everyone is this lucky...and in a competitive industry where experience counts, some mentoring and guidance goes a long way."
Dave Kaylor, Director of Dsine International graduated university in 1998 with an honours degree in Industrial design from Monash University. Since then, he has worked at various international design studios including Renault, Opel, Pininfarina, Ford, GM Holden and most recently with Faraday Future, Canoo and Singer Vehicle Design in California.
In 2015, Dave started an Automotive design training academy which now has graduates employed and working globally.
Dave’s Automotive design specialty is Class A Surfacing also known as digital modeling and he was in charge of the award-winning design team for the Interior of the CANOO Lifestyle Vehicle.Instigator and founder of project ThunderTruck Inspired colleagues, friends, and family to back the idea of re-establishing the Australian automotive / industrial design industry.
